Oh wow now i don't believe this. Last night a friend's shape's store got kicked out of the parcel space she was renting at D S's Sim (A Y) or however it is spelt. Simply because she chose to abandon the other part of the land where she had a furniture store and due to his unbusinesslike attitude. Now my friend paid her tier for that space just on the 3rd of April, for another month's stay, but se got no refund from (should not be named) after he so brutally insulted her, banned her from her shops and auto returned all her products, Distabilising her clientele totally, all this just because she prefered to abandon the half sim she was renting! Now what i would like is to know why issues like this are not taken important by the Lindens, why wait for an abuse report to be filed when this does not concern a residential issue? (shoul not be named at alll) just stole money from my friend, and if he was a business man that was honest, he would have refunded her money before kicking out her shop and making her lose so much in just one night. This is totally unfair and should not be encouraged in SL that we consider a virtual world. Since when did abandoning a land that you just paid tiers for become an issue???

You want to remove the names and business identifiers from this post. The guidelines in this forum don't allow "naming names" however justified it may be. (Enforcement of all the guidelines is a bit delayed and uncertain right now, but... there's a reason for the rules. Someone will no doubt explain.) There are other forums (e.g., sluniverse) where naming-names is permitted--and will have more of the intended effect than here.

LL doesn't get involved in resident-to-resident disputes, per the Terms of Service and longstanding policy. They sort of can't, really, since it's all "he said / she said" and they'd waste a lot of resources doing that. This is why any serious business arrangement that operates in SL has a real RL contract behind it. Of course, this isn't viable for "micro-businesses" so... well, renting Estate land can be a risky proposition unless it's from a very reputable Estate owner, as many threads on this forum confirm. Folks have lost a *lot* more than 1 month rent and some customer landmarks going defunct.

Well said Qui.. in other words, she should just shut up and lose her investments because it's a "he said/she said". just now you asked to remove the name and business name of the person and then you you say it s a he said/she said thing!.. well. i see contradiction here. The business names will be remove, of course.. if only it is to spare Dyego from his shame as an anarquer and thief! ANd yes i agree with Rebecca. i think it is time the LL s start playing god for a change. There is a limit to how much people can tolorate in the name of "see no evil, speak no evil, hear no evil"!!!

I'm just saying that supervision of individual resident to resident transactions isn't part of the service that LL claims to provide. And it's hard to imagine how they could provide such a service.

I would feel terrible if this happened to me, and I might come here and talk about it and hope for sympathy. And the OP has my sympathy. I think people should all be considerate and helpful towards each other.

But I'm too old to think it's realistic to expect any earthly god figure to figure out a way to make all humans behave as I wish they would. The best most of us can do when we are the victims of the unfair treatment is to learn what we can from the experience about not repeating it and to accept that these things happen and move on, resolving to be honorable ourselves.

As for theology it's my impression that the gods of most major religions have granted humans free will and are waiting for us to work things out between ourselves without much divine intervention.
