They suddenly became arched and pointed at the top....think The Joker from the Batman comic books.I had this happen before, but only with one particular skin; this time changing skin (or shape)doesn't help. The usual things like rebaking, editing appearance, clearing cache, and relogging don't help either. I searched inventory for worn items and nothing unusual there. I hadn't updated the viewer yet so tried that, and no change. Funny thing, to me, is that alts aren't afflicted, just this av. The first time this happened the problem went away eventually so maybe it will this time, too, but meanwhile.....any ideas.suggestions?

You may have changed bald caps, (system hair). They're sometimes just called 'Bald Cap' until you rename them which will lead to some confusion. Go through your inventory and try on (wear) different 'baldies' and when you find one you like, rename it 'unarched eyebrows' or whatever. Bald caps make you bald and ready to wear prim hair, but they usually leave in the brows - the brows being differently set in each one.
They show up in your inventory beside a mini hair icon.

I have a folder with all my bald caps - even the ones from demos. When I want to change eyebrow expressions, I just throw on a different bald base. I discarded the one or two I found that were too extreme.

So if I were to say something shocking to you, would you go rummaging through your bald cap folder and throw on 'Shock Eyebrows'? I wonder if there's a Spock 'one-eyebrow lift' bald cap?
(Good idea. Me too I keep them in a separate folder. Went through it lately and threw some out, renamed a few.)

The eyebrows in bald caps are editable using the appearance sliders. However, the degree to which this is visible depends on the skin you are wearing ... with very opaque skins, your bald cap may make little difference.
With very transluscent skins (e.g. skin within), changes you make in the eyebrows are VERY obvious. In fact, Skin Within comes with a bald cap that has colorable brows that will make other skins look weird. I believe Chai skins have something similar. .

thats happens to me a couple of times, I was looking like an evil me lol Make this to fixed (warning!! your avatar become newbie, you need all your atachments and clthes shapes etc again) First you need the extended menu(Ctrl+alt+shift+D) Now Client-->Character-->character tests-->test male --->test female
Put again your shape ,hair and clothes.

the bald cap has to be modify enabled to make any changes, and even if the skin is opaque, the shape and arch etc can be changed... (I think, need to double check that) pretty sure though

Yup, your eyebrow area mesh is defined by the avatar hair, not the regular shape/face settings.

You can change your eyebrows with just about any skin because you can wear almost any bald cap and go into edit and just adjust the eyebrow position itself. It took me months to realize that....I was constantly looking for skin that had eyebrows with the right arch and placement....until I realized I could just go in and tweek them. You can't change the way they are 'drawn'.....the thickness and drawn arch....but you can go into edit appearance and adjust them enough so they look more pleasing to you on the avatar. Also...a lot of skin places offer a variety of eyebrow colors and shapes to interchange with their skin (but here again, you can alter the shaping of the brows in edit appearance)

Nika hon, just a tiny correction... Skin Within skins come with a bald base that shapes the eyebrows but does not color these.
As a skin designer I feel the shape of the brows is vital to the look of the skin, especially when doing something with an Ethnic appearance. Although I thought about having a tintable eyebrow system, I decided against it as I find the eyebrows that are drawn on the skin more realistic as one can emphasize individual hairs in this manner.
Hugs, Ayesha
