Thanks for any help

Ctrl-Alt-Shift-u will probably fix it.

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

I've been having the same problem. I just tried the key combinations given above, and the CMD-OPT-U one turned a few things from red to transparent and the CMD-N had no effect. I have 'view transparent' off, of course. But I still see quite a few odd things here and there which are highlighted red. They're not mine and I don't know how to categorise them. It just started about a week ago, out of the blue, when all I was doing was surfing and sailing. Anyone else have any other keystrokes up their sleeves?

Gairlochan, I believe SL's keyboard shortcuts are identical across all platforms. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure Ctrl-N on Windows doesn't become Cmd-N on the Mac; it stays Ctrl-N.

There's an easy way to tell for sure. Click on your View menu in SL. About 2/3 of the way down the menu you'll see a command called Beacons Always on, and its shortcut will be written right next to it. Chances are it's Ctrl-N, but go with whatever it says (or just click it right on the menu).
