Hi all. I am having trouble with a Slurl I tried to make tonight. I used the slurl builder and made it just fine, and if I am not logged into SL when I try to use it, it works great. If, however, I am logged in when I click on the Slurl link in my browser I am teleported to ground level, rather than the intended destination (which is just over 400m high). The landmark that pops up on screen when I click on the Slurl (when already logged in) changes to these new, incorrect coordinates too. The parcel has a landing point set which is the intended Slurl destination, but for some reason if the client is open all of that is overridden and I end up on the ground. What am I doing wrong? I had a friend try it and he gets the exact same result.

Thanks to anyone who can offer some help!

could be a known issue with Slurls (and llMapDestination) the fix suggested is to click the link/button twice quickly https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-2060

it also could be an issue with logging in, and logins to map coordinates ignoring the height field, if it is you could open another jira issue on it. I do know you can input a location and leave off the height and it still works, so it could be involved with that...

Thanks for the help Void. I am always reluctant to open a Jira issue when there is usually a high probability that the real problem is user error by this scatter-brained user. I think the problem is solved for now though. My home position is set on that parcel, as was the person who reproduced the error for me. I checked it this morning with an alt whose home position is not on that parcel and even though the Slurl coordinates change on the TP landmark, the parcel landing point seems to override that and take the avi to the proper destination.

Thanks again for the help!

Wish I had a brain like yours to scatter. :)

I just put a sign on the ground that says my shop is in the air and it also dispenses a landmark that hopefully works.
