I just bought some boots and after wearing them I discovered that my avatars skin shows through. Is there a way to fix this? I tried adjusting them but it seems they are too small and if I shift them one way then the skin shows through on the other side. My avatars shape cannot be edited.

If they're mod, you could stretch them. Right-click>Edit>Stretch...make sure the 'Stretch Both Sides' box is ticked. Click and hold on one of the small greyish squares and pull away from your av slowly.
Too bad about your shape, though...that's the easiest way to deal with the problem. _____________________

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things. Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut. |

When you wear prim shoes there should be a shoebase that you wear with the prim attachments. Are you wearng it in addition to the boots?

Nearly all women's shoes now are made size 0, but that was not always the case. Check your avatar's foot size ... if it is not 0, IM the maker and ask them to give you one with size 0 feet. All non-mod womens' shapes should have size 0 feet now.

I can't imagine purchasing a no-mod avatar shape. Too much of SL expects you to be able to tweak your shape here and there - especially feet. What sort of shape is it, that you can't modify it at all?
Most prim shoes are made for a specific foot size. Often that is zero for females, 30 for males. If your no-mod shape is bigger than the desired size, the only other option is to modify the shoes. Most shoes, however, come with a part that is *supposed* to be able to modify your feet. For example, ladies high heels will extend the heel of your avatar downward to give you the added height, and then the prim shoe includes invisiprims that hide part of that distorted foot. If your shape is no-mod, that part of the shoe may have no effect, and the shoe can never fit you. Sometimes a prim shoe *can* be scaled up, to fit your feet better. If they are modifyable, that is what you'll have to do. _____________________

Btw, AFantasy shoes and Black Moon both have mod shoes.
I actually liked the puppy-dog look of slightly large feet, and miss not being able to have them. |

I think mine are set at 30. But since they are all MOD Ive never had a complaint. I think buying a new shape thats mod will be cheaper than half the boots you buy being no good. BUT - you could contact your shape seller and ask for a copy of the shape with size 0 feet, just for use with prim shoes. |

When you wear prim shoes there should be a shoebase that you wear with the prim attachments. Are you wearng it in addition to the boots? That seems to have done it. The boots came in three sizes and one of the files in the package was a shoebase. I didn't know what that was so I ignored it. When I wore that the skin stopped showing. Thanks much for all the suggestions. ![]() |
