hiya all

im having problems login in to one of my acconts.

i log in and it just sits there trying to log and nothing happens, yet if i come off then then log in to my alt it logs in straight away and my other accont it online.

Whats going on here? someone hacked in to my accont or something?

More likely your av is stuck in SL, go to help island and find a mentor or contact a linden to restart the sim your main av is in. I have had a similar issue and it helped:)

I don't have a huge amount of technical knowledge of Second Life, but here are a few guesses:

1) I believe (though I'm not sure) that if you have an account that you don't use for a while, something happens to make the data for that account harder to access (is if it were being retrieved from archive or something). That's just my casual observation from times in which I have logged in an account that I have left idle for many months. Unless you get the time-out, can't log in message, just ride out the wait.

2) The problem may have more to do with the region into which you are logging in (assuming you have different login points for the different avatars). Try using "preferences" at the login screen, before you login, to set a different login region.

3) Sometimes weird things happen to accounts, but they can be re-set. There are occasions where I have a problem, do a support ticket on it, and the problem suddenly goes away the second I submit the ticket. My guess is that a support ticket triggers some sort of automatic "reset button" for an account. Try a support ticket.
