Logins disabled again, directed to the status page only to see nothing at all, it doesn't even say logins are disabled.

Can't handle 70k ppl in-game at one time. Been "playing" SL since 2005. We ran great back then, we've moved as avi's and advanced with the times, hopefully the game will soon too! Spending our money in SL sure hasn't slowed down, when will the game catch up with us.

Click on the RSS Feed - for some reason the main page does not stay in sync with the updates:

Logins disabled
Tuesday, January 13, 2009 4:26 PM
[3:25 PM PST] Due to a sudden overload on our database, we’ll shortly restrict logins.
You might experience inworld issues like failure to rez, teleports not working and other inworld services being slow or unresponsive.
Please monitor this blog for updates, and refrain from making huge transactions or rezzing valuable no-copy items at this time.

i don't know why but when i am logging in to SL and it stalls at the load screen i refresh my browser and get right in every time..unless the grid is closed..
maybe try that..
i found this out by waiting for logins to load a couple years back and it always helped jiggle loose the load lol

As I am still a noob really, all I have seen is SL is always a mess.
Lucky for the noobs like myself, we have never seen it run real great so we don't expect much.

Hell honestly I am just glad it is there.

Is it so hard for LL to implement a queue system? I have been running into disabled logins when peak population hits around 74K. I have to keep retrying. QUEUE SYSTEM, PLEASE!

been here for over a year... about a year ago... It was nice... lately.... not so... Increasing my frustration over my homestead sim and the higher price I have to pay so I can't access it...

considering the rants already about other premium members demanding to be let in and kick the freebie accounts...

yes, it would just set up even more fuel for those rants.

Plus you'll have a lot of the bot farm owners screaming against it... because it would shoot down their argument that the network usage of the bots isn't using up resources (hard to claim it isn't when logins are disabled and qued up with x number of slots open )

Wasn't it mentioned somewhere that logins can't be queued because the login servers can't differentiate one account from another, be it Premium, Payment Info used, NPOIF, etc?

:0 it also appears about the same time they were wrapping up the inventory maintenance from this morn, dunno if that had anything to do with it...

I don't think that is a solution, we are all in the same boats so to speak.. some are just trucks with flotation devices while others are huge yachts.. when the bridge is down none of us can go through.
