GRRRR this is more of a rant than anything else

With 1.20.6 my voice IMs aren't working right, I have to go into 1.19.1, which is all fine and dandy. But the problem is 1.19.1 is SO FREAKING CRASHY!

Half the time I crash and try to log in "Login failed. The system is logging you out right now. Your account will not be available until 2008-05-13 21:25:26 PDT."

THIS IS SO FREAKING ANNOYING! There are a few times where I can just close SL and then open it again and it will work. But most of the time I can't log in at that time! I hate it! Why the heck does LL still have that feature? It is the most annoying thing in the entire world! Well, maybe not really, but it is still annoying as heck!

Why the heck is it still there? GRRRR!

Take a breath and let it out.
Find the most peaceful image in your mind and go there.
Dig out an old pillow and pound the stuffing out of it.
Go for a walk around the neighborhood or go get some latte, pie ala mode, popcorn.
Take everything out of the junk closet/drawer and throw half of it away.
Dig through your DVD's and watch something you haven't even opened yet.
Read a couple of chapters of your favorite book.
Go use that gift certificate that has been sitting around.
Rent a DVD of bloopers and sit down with your feet up.

Someone explained it to me that when your client (your end) crashes, the servers (their end) don't know about it, and think you are still there and logged on.

(Same thing that stops you logging in twice with the same avi).

So the server side has to "catch up" - checking to see if the other log in really is there and so on. Until it has finished that you obviously can't log in again, which is why it says it's unavailable.

So I guess it's a necessary evil.

Nicholaz now has a version to run with the LL 1.19.1 viewer (it is the Eye Candy series). I ran it for a long time yesterday and it seems pretty solid:

Note: The Bleeding Edge series is for the old 1.18.5.3 version that is pre-windlight, pre-dazzle, etc... and it is very very stable and works great. His new Experimental set is for the 1.20 versions and that is very very new and therefore probably not real stable yet.
