That's a phantom prim. It's not a griefer unless someone has figured out a way to create them on demand. A sim restart should get rid of it.

That sounds like a ghost, one of those prims that is stuck in the twilight zone and never to to be seen in world or anyone's inventory again. A sim restart will finish killing it off, so you may want to request one if it is in the way.

Lately I have been running into more than a few large ghosts in places where I wouldn't expect anyone to be building lately, so it is possible that griefy sorts might be rezzing big stuff repeatedly in the hope that it will get ghosted. But again a sim restart will clean up.

A friend had a very large sphere ghost prim show up on his land one day. It just hovered there in the air. He contacted the owner and gave the co-ordinates in his IM. She came and got it the next day. She had been experimenting with her building and the sphere went zooming off. She didn't have any idea where it had gone until my friend's IM.

My friend had tried all the usual methods for getting rid of it, but none worked. This was back when we were getting a number of grid updates.

Sim restarts do seem to be the best method to get those traffic hazards out of the way.

Didn't sound like plywood when you tapped it by any chance? I lost a 10m cube a few weeks ago accidently sent it up to some stupid altitude, maybe it got mutated by cosmic rays and landed at your place but unless it's grown legs and an appetite for bots then you can keep it :)

Hey I can build, I can replace any of those lost 10 meter cubes for you if you'd like? :)

Hmm can you make them invisible with legs and and they eat bots? The last batch without legs weren't very sucessfull :)
