Hello,

A friend of mine recently talked me into buying a neostream so I could stream my own mp3 library onto my land.

So I pay 1,000L for the stream and THEN he tells me he doesn't know how to make it work even though he does it all the time. He explains that he uses a $300USD program to stream and can't figure out how to make my free winamp program do it.

Would any of you great and knowledgeable forum gods be willing to meet with me in SL and teach me how to set up my winamp so I can use the stream I'm paying 1kL a month for?

I'd be happy to pay you for your time.

Just IM me if you like to help the hopeless. :)

Come to CLUB SCHOOL and learn how to DJ into SL. You will be streaming within 90 minutes. Classes are today (see my signature).

Lias's class is great, took it myself. But if you are looking a little more towards self help I and using Winamp I greatly suggest going to shoutcast.com, there you can download the streaming plugin you need and read the documentation on is.

Really if you want to loop a single set playlist without user intervention easily, I suggest sticking with Winamp. If you would prefer to be able to have your entire library "Auto DJ" onto your land I definitely take Lias's Club School class where you get SAM up and running dirt cheap, only 500 Lindens I think, it also has the added bonus of giving you the basic skill set to DJ in SL professionally.

So the choice is ultimately yours, either way you choose to go for your land, if DJing appeals to you I highly recommend taking the class eventually.
