Login problems after last nights network issues

A friend of mine have trouble loggin into SL.

The first time it happened was last night when people were logged off from SL automatically and had problems logging in again.
Every time she clicks the SL desktop icon she gets the crash-logger.
The only solution is to uninstall SL and install it again; then logging in is no problem.

She uses Windows Vista.
Cache is already cleared.

Anyone a suggestion?

I'm a little confused... it sounds like you are saying your friend's problems are already solved, fixed by reinstalling the client.

Are you saying she now has to reinstall the client before each login?

If so, the first thing I would suggest is manually deleting the configuration folder (the one that contains the cache folder, settings files, etc.). The next time she starts the client, it will treat her like she's using it for the first time.

If that doesn't work, try both manually deleting the config folder and reinstalling the client.

After that, I would guess it was a registry issue, but you'll have to get someone with Windows experience to help you with that. :)

Has she manually deleted the config folder yet?
