Hello! You must ask your land lord if they are allowed on that property. You may also find that answer in the Estate rules found in the land info. Most all are fine with them, but there are exceptions. Yes.. the prims of a skybox do count toward the allotment. Good luck!

Generally, as long as it's within your property lines you can put up a skybox. Most landowners/landlords will ask that you place them above cloud level and fly-height (generally 300M or higher). I'd check with the estate owner to be sure. Anything you rezz on your land will count against your prims. However there are some pretty decent low-prim skyboxes out there, or rezz a platform and put a small house on it, or a simple build platform... depends on what it is you want to do up there.

I currently rezzed a ship at 350 meters, just so you can enjoy the cloudscape below. It counts up to the primslimit, because you still build on the same parcel, just higher.. But the ship I use now is 1250 prims, and I can't rezz much more. I need a skybox castle thing that isn't 1000 prims and more.

And do remember that you will need a flight assist attachment if you plan on flying around your skyhouse and it is over (what is the limit now?) 200m?
Mysti Tool is a very good all around accessory that will help you fly higher, and organize landmarks as well as much more.

Disclaimer: I have no connection to the makers of Mysti Tool at all; they are not even on my friend's list! MystiTool is one of those must have things.. I even ditched my ZHAO and Gypsy Dancer HUDs because there are excellent plug-ins to Mysti now that do same things but better because they see each other. BUT... I think I am doing something wrong, I like to fly first person and used to be able to just look in the direction I wanted to go while flying with Mysti and no feather. I can still lift as high as I want without a feather (just Mysti) but I can no longer fly up over about 200 meters in first person (fly up to where I'm looking) without a feather. Do I have something adjusted wrong since the upgrade?

Your landlord will say what you can or can't build. You might need to join a group of theirs before you can rez or build anything - it depends how the landlord has set the options on their land. As said above - a skybox takes up prim allowance just the same as anything on the ground. You might need to make sure the skybox doesn't ovelap neighbouring land, even if it's up very high. SL lets you place objects at up to 4096 metres altitude. You should be able to landmark your skybox or even set your home position to there - depending on landlord's land settings.

Thanks in Advance Hi you got most of your answers already, and the covenant on your 'About Land' page should tell you how high you have to go to rezz a skybox for your estate. I just got a new one, it's gorgeous, and low prim too, but guess we aren't allowed to 'plug' businesses here, so if you want to IM me inworld will be happy to give you the name of the business I got it from. I am required to go above 300 meters and I went up to 500. I have a house on the ground too, but the new skybox is so low prim I have plenty of prims to play around with.
