Script and building issues

Since yesterday, I seem to be having issues with my scripts and building. It doesn't matter whether I'm on my old sims or the new one, if I try to run a script, I get errors. If I turn building off to all residents but the group, and then turn it back on to everyone, I can't build.

Is anyone else having issues like this? Meaning, is it SL, or is it me? And if it's me, why would this be happening and how in the bloody hell do I stop it from happening??

What errors do you get?

Have you tried the scripts on other sims?

Do you have an alt to try the scripts?

Well, I just discovered the problem with one of the scripts, it occurred between the user and the keyboard ;)

However, at the club, our dance balls are obviously all scripted. I had turned scripting off the other day along with turning build off, because I had a troublemaker. I had turned them back on after he was dealt with, but I started getting reports that people couldn't use the dance balls. I went in and doublechecked that scripting was on...it was. I reset all the dance balls, and I could use them, but later on, more people were telling me they couldn't.

The build thing is odd too, because I have build open for all residents during the move-in period, but people are saying they can't build.

my first thought is, do you have the proper group tag enabled on your avatar?

I have a similar issue on a parcel I bought last week. At times, I can't build on it unless I have it open to all residents. Proper tag, relogging, clearing cache have not helped. I'll probably restart the sim today and see if that helps.

I have noticed with open build off, but group set to build enabled, the button for build is greyed, but the ctrl+4 works just fine, even w/o group tags

OK, the scripting problem was that two of my scripted items were throwing errors that I didn't catch before this. Problem solved when I found the button at the bottom telling me the errors.

I restarted the sim (gawd, I love estate manager tools!) and the building problem seems to have cleared.

I'm clearly exhausted...lol.

Thanks all :)
