No reason, just wondering.

The real answer is "only sometimes." But it was way too much obvious fun to vote "never."

Yes. I even answer telephone polls.

I don't answer EVERY poll in these forums though, and I don't answer "polls" from people on the street.

I think Russell's Paradox is too clever to be correct, and I don't see how it applies.

This is how I understand his "paradox": if I want to talk only about people who have voted in a poll, Russell would say that I can't, because if you think about the group of all the things that are not "people who have voted in a poll", one of the things in *that* group would be the group of people who voted in a poll, because that group is not a person who voted in a poll.

Do I have it right?

If A is the group of ppl who voted in a poll, then B is everything else in the universe except people who voted in a poll, but B contains A because A is a group, not a person who voted in a poll.

But that's crazy, because I am talking about people, not about groups of things that are not something else.

Are you or are you not a member of the set of people who vote on polls?

Yes. I am a member.
Then you're not a member of the paradoxical set.

I get it - if you vote "no" then you have voted in a poll, which means you should vote "yes".

I tried to answer a telephone pole once. I ended up with a splinter in my ear :(

Poor thing!

My uncle's car was once hit by a light pole - it fell on it. He asked a policeman if the city would pay for the damages, and the cop said, "I don't know, but I'm going to give you a ticket for parking in the wrong direction."
