I recently put a pool on my land and was trying to find a way to utilize it. I've looked for swimballs, which only work in Linden water, found individual AO's, but I want something that will allow other residents to play in the pool. Do I need a HUD?, imbedded script? I spent two hours searching last night and couldn't come up with the answer. I know there are some brilliant people here that could possibly help me out :)

Thanks for your insight and help!

I had a Swimmer 1.1 HUD from WaterWorks by Siggy Romulus, it was great until it broke. I haven't bought the v2 since I paid $ for this already (it's no copy/trans), the creator should have replaced with an updated with a version that works :X

I think the swimmer hud worked in both linden water and primswim (water prim from Waterworks also). Buuuut......... swimming gets old, you should try some float balls and avoid the hassle altogether ;P

Btw, I love your name Slutsy Sorbet! hehe

the creator ie siggy has staated that the 1.1 had been copied and that the 2 versions are accually from the ground up new items that uses diffent ideas to make things happen so the product is nothing like the original and why no upgrades wear offered ..or something to that effect somebody else might explainit better

just ask the designer when you find a suit you like, if they can put it on different layers for you (most will most likely oblige you, I know I would)

Thank you so much all for your responses :) I'll check out the HUD. I dropped a notecard to the creator of sLwin wondering if the product worked in prim water, but haven't heard back yet.

One more question... will the HUD work with non-land owners, i.e., other residents of SL that are now group owners? This is vital...

Thanks for the name compliment too. I giggle every time I see it :P

Yep. The Swimmer HUD works for all users, regardless of group. The PrimSwim water layer, or an "Alpha Plate" can be added to any existing pool that isn't already compatible with the Swimmer HUD.

The Waterworks sim is where you'll find Siggy's stuff.

The way I understand it, with the Swimmer, each person who wants to swim has to buy the HUD; and with SLwim, the landowner can "swim" a bunch of people simultaneously, without them having to purchase their own HUDs. Mind you, I've never used either of these products (other than to rip the animations out of them for my own swim attachment), so this may not be correct.
