Grrrr I need some advice

I've been away from second life for quite a long time and so when I reactivated my account (costs $9.00) I was told I wouldn't have any of the items I left when I left second life and that's fine one of the funnest things for me about this program is creating my avatar so starting from scatch seemed fun.

Well,, here's the issue. My avatar isn't not functioning right whenever I enter second life I get the questions am I male or female. None of the changes I make on the avatar are saved at all. and my inventory doesn't work at all I can't put anything into it because when I restart the program it's as if I never purchased them. they are gone from my inventory.

I must say the vendors on second life are great they are willing to replace the things I've lost but until these issues are resolved it's pointless. I have a premium account and created a ticket in hopes that they can fix the issue or at least contact me to say they can't and refund my money so I can create a new account but It's been 3 days and 3 phone calls all telling me it will be resolved soon yet nothing is done. Any advice?? is this something I can fix myself?

clearing cache doesn`t sound as an issue so doing that and reinstalling would be pointless
might have to leave it for lindens to fix for making your inventory a black hole as it`s server side
