I just started a new project ,
and its all about free items.

If you've got some freebies for "teasers" it looks like an OK way to advertise.

But, how are you going to make sure that "designers" who sign up for this service and give you free items actually OWN those items, LEGALLY, and that they haven't been stolen from somebody else?

Well the server for the free items you have to get from me,
so its not that every one can get a server.
if there comes a report that there are stolen objects in the network,
the av doing it will get blocked ofcourse .

further on you cant know, the same with a mall.. can every mallowner make sure the renters are selling no stolen goods?

but lets hope that people stealing other creations will be baned from second life(at one point)
and that they dont put to much effort in promoting their ripofs.

Looks nice enough to me. Even nice enough to make me interested as a designer. And yes I do own the freebies I have as teasers for my small company. As long as I don't have to wear a HUD myself I am interested.

Only question I have: Are you doing this all just for fun, or is the plan you are going to charge in a later stage? Just curious what is driving you to build this system

well I'm hoping to make some lindes trhough the advertisements spots.

but that aint going to be fast money.

the system will be free for designers AND public.

This system is no system without the designers, so I would never aks lindens / or other curency for it.

why i build it? becouse its a great way of promotion I think, and I did not see it b4 ..

and with all the business in a box shops its hard for people to seach for orriginal content.

this way they can take a look at the designs, can get info about the designer, and have a

(free) preview, all from the comfort of their own (sl) home.

reason 2 is that its fun to script a usefull system.

Erm, so where does the making money part come from? If it's free to designers, and free to customers....?

Well there are a vew spots on the hud for advertisement, this is seperate from the designers.
just a image you can click and you will get information about that ad.

so they don't shair, just have an ad. and for that they have to pay a bit.

the designers will have free ad space. and will never pay to use the system to promote their creations.
