If you do Client - UI - SLurl Test, there's an option for Immediate TP that doesn't show the form of the SLurl.

What is the form of the url?

Hmm, this seems to be a reasonably functional mozilla browser there, easily accessed.

You might want to try running a mozilla cache viewer on the SL mozilla cache.

If you click on that link, it brings up an error stating it does not know how to handle the link.

The link it's trying is secondlife:///app/teleport/De%20Haro/123/56/67

My guess is that the "app" called "teleport" that the SL viewer reads in the SLURL no longer works on more recent viewers...

The instant teleport worked for me.
So did the one for loading a group info page and the person profile page.

I think it was on the latest release candidate viewer. It makes sense that it might need to be one equipped for the new search function.

Hey, there's three slash versions of secondlife: urls, one of the things high on my wishlist for SL: secondlife urls with more slashes.

Ooo! Yes, it does work in the RC!

secondlife:///app/teleport/De%20Haro/123/56/67 Tp's you directly there without bringing up the map first!

I have 2 thoughts on this - firstly, is this the start of being able to make SIM to SIM tp's inworld via LSL without having to click teleport in the map first?

One more worrying concern I have is that it could open the door to abuse.. Let me explain.

Imagine you are logged into SL and browsing the web at the same time... There is nothing to stop someone scripting a "popup" in a web page to open that secondlife: showrtcut - thus immediately TPing you to that location. Until now we have had to click the "teleport" button by the map it someone tried to do that... Likewise, it would also be done via HTML email..

Any thoughts?

I had noticed all the world.secondlife.com results came up with that url (see my signature, LOL), which kept wanting to load up the Windlight viewer ala' SLurls. I hadn't thought of that abuse possibility, but could it work differently depending on where it comes from?

That mozilla cache viewer doesn't work on the SL browser cache, at least not without doing some extra work.

The files named _CACHE_001_, etc. are just oddball text files, though, and you can read all the urls for the SLurl test .
