Can someone help please. I can't get past region handshake to get inworld. I have turned off my firewall and virus program. Have uninstalled and reinstalled SL thinking bad download, yet i get the same thing each time i try to log in.

Blues Could you try forcing yourself into another region at startup, Basenville or Falcaria come to mind on the mainland and see if you can log in? That would point to the region you're using and you could put in a ticket for it then.

Just had a similar problem myself. Logging into a different region did the trick, but I was able to tp home immediately. Oddness.

The only time I ever get that actual failure is when I'm somewhere behind a firewall that is blocking things.

Nothing works to get inworld

Well i tried a bunch of different regions to log on with and none of them did the trick. I'm going into SL withdrawals here. Can someone comeup with something different i can try please?

Doing a simple uninstall and reinstall does not clear all SL files. There is a folder, under XP for example, at C:\Documents and Settings\"your computer user name"\Application Data\SecondLife that can contain corrupted files, which are not removed on a simple reinstall. My wife ran into this same problem once. Uninstalling SL, deleting the entire SecondLife folder as above, and reinstalling fixed the problem for her.

I've tried everything suggested here and i still can't get past region handshake. Does anyone else have a suggestion i could try? Short of reformatting which i dont want to do just to get into inworld grrrrrrrrr. I need help with this issue
