Anybody know how to backup full perm animations to your PC? Just recently I lost all my SL source textures and animations and need to work on those files and the only copy I have is on the SL Inventory folders, so am wondering whether I can download my SL files to my PC?

Short answer: not possible.
Long answer:
You can download your textures again from SL, but those will be the ones which have gone through the (lossy) JPEG2000 compression. So editing and re-uploading them can cause artifacts.
There is no option to download uploaded animations.
There maybe a very complex and technical solution in parsing the local SL cache files in retrieving the bvh information.
