Since I'm not the land owner, how does this happen? Also looking for timeclocks, escort board scripts, pregnant vendors, and last a business forum? Im blonde bear with me ok.

you would need to get the land owner to check the box that allows it to show in places (if you are a renter on a separate plot or if it is a mall type thing and they have the individually plotted out)

You could also try "classifieds", in your profile.
Stand where you want people to land then go into the classifieds tab, in your profile. Click "New" and fill in the details, tick the boxes, set the location, sounds like you need to select "Mature", if it's a business make sure you select auto renewal then press ok. A box will pop up asking how much you want to pay each week. Default and minimum is L$50 per week.
This was all done from memory, so I may have missed something.
As to the other questions, I've never looked for them so, i cant answer. But, "search" is your friend.

classifieds do not put it in the places search section though
to be specifically in the places search ones needs to be able to check the box that says list in places in the land info
