War, what is it good for? Games of course!

I loaded SL at my brothers house over the weekend to make a quick land transaction.

My nephew started asking me if you could shoot people and I said yes, there are places where you can do that. He said cool, go there. It's not that easy, kid.

Since going to war was/is not my intent in SL, I had/have no clue where to look.

I searched War and Battlefield quickly today during lunch and everything seemed to point to stores and profiles.

So does anyone know of any good war sims? I might have to role a GI Joe ALT and poke around.

I don't know if any of the regulars do that sort of RP...I haven't seen anyone mention it, in any case.

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

I'm really surprised there aren't more successful RP sims. The ones I check out have very few people in them. I've never seen what you're describing at all.

I guess there are better places geared towards roleplay on the web than SL. Maybe SL will become more suited for it, but it's far from it today.

I guess since SL doesn't require/allow people fighting to gain money or experience, then the only real reward is winning the battle.

I think to do it right, you'd also have to develop a browser that was more like the UI from Warcraft or something. I couldn't imagine 'searching' inventory for more bullets in the heat of battle.

But, if it could be done right...it could involve the land, sea and air. Much more than most games.

check under "combat" rather than "war." There are plenty of "combat" sims out there that have damage enabled. You can dress up for war or battle there.
