Have you checked the skies lately?

I was flying above my parcel when I ran into an invisible barrier. Camming up I could see a grass platform. I found an edge and moved onto the surface. It appears to be a 256*256m mega prim construction, textured to be invisible unless you are standing on it. Edit clearly shows walls and a roof, but they are not otherwise visible. Same for the under side of the grass base. There is a building in it's center. This platform extends for a distance over my home, and into the adjacent protected sea sim of Thera. I saw in the owners profile that she is selling a system to squat in the sky without owning land, so I guess this is the thing in action. AR'd the thing, as it's center is not on my parcel and the owner of the offending item is in the same group as the owner of the land it is centered on. The group also has a history of pushing mega platforms over their neighbors. (AR'd them for this in the past) You might want to check to see if you have squatters living over head on your parcels.

But if you have autoreturn on, then this would solve the issue, yes? Or are these somehow unaffected by autoreturn?

If the object's center is not above your parcel--within your parcels borders--you can't return it. Thus a 256m X 256m prim centered 50 meters outside of your land is something about which you can do nothing except AR it. Enough ARs of this type will eventually get the group and its members banned, but it may take six months to a year to get rid of the aggressive neighbors.

autoreturn will work on prims they rez on your property, on top of the megaprim,
definitely need build off.
This is the kind of thing that will get megaprims eventually banned.
One of the Lindens was feeling out how people felt about that only a couple months ago.

I had this exact same thing last week. I tried flying up with my flight feather and suddenly couldn't fly about 230m. I had to go way beyond my neighbors boundaries and up and back to get over it. I could stand on it and walk all around with my feet casting a shadow on nothing but sky and the thing was huge. I AR'd it and it was gone in about 3 days.

Yes. I have auto return set for one minute. I should check object entry. I live on the coast, and hate to do that to fellow sailors. Not sure that would help if the big prim was rezzed off center of my parcel any way. I didn't set build to group only (my group owns the land), so folks could rez and launch from the dock if they want to. I am on the border of much open sea that allows scripts to run Originally I had auto return set for longer, but attracted too much litter.

Man when I hear stories like this, I'm glad I own my whole sim and am in contact with my neighbors. Sorry to hear about his, Jannae.

With ARs there's power in numbers. Get all yout neighbours involved who aren't part of that group. Get your friends round. Throw an "AR this moron" party and send in the reports.
The more they receive, the more they have the ability to act. I've got an annoying bit of prim litter in the sky and my land has some serious issues but they are not being followed up cos they are simply one resident and my stuff I'd ideally LIKE sorting out. If I had someone breaking TOS however I'd take direct action.
Be glad that when Havok 4 comes in they have probably not even got the solice of being a luddite with a crippled old style viewer - the engine itself simply doesn't like megaprims so they will be a thing of the past (at least that's the official-sounding line!).
