i would like buy lindens on the SL site but i am from mauritius. and here we use rupees.
is it possible?

There are two main ways to buy L$, using a credit card, or PayPal. Both are able to convert to US dollars before it gets to Linden Lab, but your account at Linden Lab can only accept US dollars as payment.

I believe that LL published some $L exchanges that would accept pounds and yen and another currency or two. I don't recall seeing rupees mentioned, though.

I cant find that page any more in the new SL website, or I would have mentioned it. I did not want to recommend a newbie to use any third party site that is NOT using the risk API.

Oh... wait. Silly me... it took a google search for me to discover (Again, I think) that it's a real-world currency, not just from the Zelda games. Surprised me, I thought maybe you were from another virtual world or game!
Anywho, I don't recall ever seeing rupees listed as a valid currency anywhere on the SL site, but it seems like perhaps Paypal would make it possible? I really don't know, sorry!
