I logged in tonight to find a Notecard from someone who bought a turtle from my store. They paid twice and said neither time did they receive the product. I checked my history found the 2 payments and sent the product back out and repaid one of the purchases. 5 minutes later I received the following;

[21:32] : hi sl is down but i paid 2 times for your turtle and dont receive. u might not be able to pay me back till sl is up again.i need one refund of $50 and one turtle. do they move? ____________________________________________________________________________________ You rock. [21:32] : rob better to wait till sl is back up. and then check account history to see what happened ____________________________________________________________________________________ You rock. [21:32] Ray Musketeer: I just paid you

I am imagining that they sent the IM from offworld, I am not agaisn't that but now my history shows that I have paid them and have sent two turtles, one might not have made it according to an alert I got saying an object had been returned to the sim.

It did not say what object and this is after I dropped the first turtle on their profile and received the message "user not online saved to inventory" but to be safe I repeated and sent another.

That they logged off as soon as I responded saying hello, happens, that they IM me from offworld without checking history understandable though I wished they'd have checked lol.

That I get spam imbedded in their IM from offworld from blockbuster, unaceptable.

So, the question is; As anyone had this type of IM from offworld (it'd be a first for me), and is it kosher that one would send a spam from offworld in this fashion?

Dazed and confused and not listening to Zepplin lol.

A lot of free email providers, such as Yahoo, Hotmail... etc... have "taglines" at the bottom of the emails. Which could very well look like SPAM.

If he was responding to your IM via his email, it's more then likely what happened.

If you sent me im and I responded offline you get something about AOL.
I can't control them adding that part as long I use that service.

Its not signature for some users they don't have control over it or able to remove it or alternative way to use email account that doesn't do it. I had no clue it was happening until a friend mention it to me.
