Does anyone have any experience with the 'Vista 64 bit' version regarding SL compatibility?

Yep. Works fine. If you encounter problems it is most probably your graphics drivers. Make sure they are the latest. Don't ask, Get into it!

hmm... I thought about upgrading to Vista 64 as I now have too much RAM for the 32 bit version to address, but then I discovered most of my other software won't work on a 64 bit platform and I'm too cheap to upgrade it all Any techies out there got an answer? Like can I partition my disk to run either/or? (I know just enough to be dangerous to my PC lol! - that might just be a very stupid question!) Inc

Great!!! Thanks for the quick replies. I'm doing my home work regarding a new PC and I'm trying to configure it for the longest time interval possible before a new replacement is required. I won't get into specifics but as of present, it'll be a quad core with Vista 64 bit, 8 gig of ram and an Nvidia SLI setup. Either the 8800 GTX or maybe Ultra. We'll see. Oh yes,,, and it's from Falcon North-West, the Mach V.

From: Steve Mahfouz I have 32 bit XP, 32 bit Vista and 64 bit Vista all on one RAID0 drive. Yes, it can be done. My Resident Geek says: This guy is asking for trouble. A RAID 0 array is X times more likely to fail than a single drive, where X is the number of drives in the array. You should never put your OS on a RAID 0 array!
