How Do You Make Gestures I Saw People Saying Things And they Have Music notes and stuff

In Inventory, use the New Gesture menu item in the Create menu. You still need to understand how to enter special characters to get the notes or other symbols.

Hold down the alt key and type 13 on the number pad, then release

14 for the double notes
3 = ♥

This is ASCII code for the standard characters. Just hold down the alt key and use the number pad to get the character for that number value. The numbers at the top of the keyboard do not work; it has to be the numberpad on the side.

What you see in world is actually a Unicode font and has many more than the simple ASCII characters. There are 256 characters (a few of which will not display) where Unicode has thousands. To get to these on a Windows PC, go to Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Character Map. From there, use the top font list and pick a font with Unicode in the name; "Ariel Unicode MS" for example. Then just scroll through the list of thousands and find what you want to use, click the symbol and hit select. Once you have a few or whatever you need in the bottom, hit Copy to put them on your clipboard. Then in SL, hit paste to put them in chat, or a gesture, or a notcard ... you get the point.

If you make a notecard for cool font things, you can put all the ones you might want to use in an easy to get to list and just highlight/copy/paste as you need them.

But remember when you make gestures in this fashion.. If someone doesn't have the same font installed they will not see it the way you are intending.. They will see *******.. So if you are selling gestures keep that in mind and let your customers know what font must be installed for proper viewing.
