Can anybody tell me (in Idiots terms) how i save an object in blender, to a sculpy texture, so i can import it to SL. I have searched every where but can only find advanced stuff to do in Blender. I want some sort of result to spur me on to greater thengs. I dont even know if it can be done.

Grace,
There are the Building Tips and Texture Tips forums a little farther down the list. There are some very active and helpful people there if you don't get an answer here.

I have never used blender so I'm not going to be any help at all other than a bump for the thread.

Hi Grace. Blender? Do you have any hair left? :D

Here is the Blender Import/Export thread:
/8/60/203571/1.html

And it links to Domino's scripts, here:
http://www.dominodesigns.info/second_life/blender_scripts.html

In the Building subforum here, you should be able to get good answers to your questions. :)

Cheers!

Best I've seen for what you're asking. Watch the video or read the transcript:
http://blog.machinimatrix.org/2008/05/12/blender-sculptie-creation/

Many of the tutorials on that site are excellent:

edit: CCTV Giant snuck in first. Consider my post a "second" to CCTV's nomination.

Also: Prim.Blender made by Jeffrey Gomez makes it nice and easy to import multiple objects and their orientations.
