On my sim, and only my sim, my type is not making it into Local Chat at all. All others it seems to work fine for... Just not me,
When im on another sim, works fine, just not my sim.
(IMs are working fine, and fast, no lag at all)
Also, I log on an Alt and it works fine.
Any ideas?

That seems awfully similar to what happens if you are banned from the parcel.
If an estate manager or estate owner is banned from a parcel, they may enter but not chat in local.
Check to see if you are banned from the parcel.
All this is of course assuming you are an estate owner or manager.

I manage a few sims, and it has happened plenty to me both by accident and by disgruntled residents thinking they actualy had the power to kick me out  |
