Hey guys! Ok, so I read the post about what you need to get started as a DJ, but I'm kind of hoping (if one already hasn't been made that I missed in my searches) to get 1 thread in 1 place with a detailed description of what someone would need (including $ or L$ costs) to get started in the major professions in SL. By major professions I'm meaning more the following:

Host
DJ
Security
Dancer
Escort
Manager
Realtor

All of the above are listings for both sexes. I'm sure different outfits/dances would be required for the Dancer and Escort positions, so if ya'll could post for each sex I would greatly appreciate it. Feel free to add anything I may have forgotten to list!

[Note - I purposely left out builder and scripter as those two I'm not sure if you need any actual "items" or what-not. If I'm wrong, please list those as well! Also, if this has already been done, links are welcome ^_^ ]

For all of them, generally a good look, good attitude.

Security? No real concept of security, you'd need to be invited by the land owner to have eject rights etc.

As for dancer, look to spend a ton of money on a dance animator and dances. Around 20k is not uncommon. Of course you can also just do the default animations of the pole or chair or whatever but then you're not *really* a dancer, just a sit target. Emoting is important in either case.

Escort? Depends whether you feel the addition of talking genitals are important, some clients seem to want them, the imagination range of products works well i'm told ;)

Realtor? IM me, I have some land to sell you ;)

Re security, the best security is when a Host or Manager can turn a potential griefer into a future 'paying' guest.
