can the group tag above an avatars head be changed for the individual avatar without having to create another group?

if you mean...what i think you mean...yes? If you own the group, or have rights to change titles/roles in it...you can give yourself another title...ie: manager or something, you can change everybodys title if you have the rights to do so is that whut you meant?

Yup, just create a new role. In the Group Info dialog box, go to Members & Roles tab, then the Roles subtab. Click the "Create New Role" button; you can use existing roles with different Titles, or create entirely new Roles. Beware on creating new Roles; you don't want to give everyday members too many abilities (i.e. to sell group land, set permissions, etc.)

sorry what i ment was can i change titles within a role, say there are 2 people in the members role, but one wants there tag to say "friend" and another wants"hello" above there heads, is that able to do? or would i need to create a totaly new role for the different head tag?

-Crunch New role. Titles are per role, not per person, unfortunately.

-Crunch You could use a personal hover text which would let you specify the text you want displayed over your avatar's head. Pick up a free script from YavaScripts or at the FC Hangout.
