I just opened my browser to come to the forums, and it said I needed to log into my account, which I did, but then it took me to the status page, so I went back to the home page, and it then logged me back out, only way I was able to log in was via trying to view the forums, then logging in from that link in the msg.
not sure if it is me, or if I should let LL know.

Just tried it and yeah, something's pretty screwed up. Looking at the various login-related jiras for the WEB project, it seems they've b0rked caching and clearing of cookies, though I haven't tried manually clearing all cookies after logout to see whether that fixes it.
None of that is very helpful, I know, other than to confirm that its happening to others, too.

I would try clearing your clearing the cookies.
I was unable to log into the blog last night for hours. I cleared the cookies for secondlife.com and was able to log in.

Lately, I am occasionally redirected to the status page when trying to go to the site's homegapge. I've never had to clear cookies or anything because one or two more attempts works.

Yeah that's been my experience too, I end up at the status page at times from different links but trying again seems to rectify it.

It's pretty scary that LL can't keep a web site and a forum running properly.
503 errors? For DAYS?

I just got a new one:
500: Internal server error
Anyone bid higher than 503? 503, going, going, gone !

I'm pretty sure that there's some configuration at LL where if the system cannot give you the page you want, it offers up the status page.
I have had it happen so many times over the past few months (although a lot more often lately) where I try to go to *any* page on their website, and if I don't get a 500 or a 503, I get the grid status page.
Yesterday it even happened to me while logging on with the 1.18.6.4RC viewer - I got the logon page, put in my name and password, clicked 'connect' and got the grid status page instead of actually connecting to SL.
Whatever is happening to their web system, as it gets worse and worse the grid status page is coming up more and more (when you don't get the 503)

-Atashi My personal theory is that everyone who is trying to get in-world, or use SL, ends up on the web-pages to try and find out what is wrong, or goes to the Forums.... and that overloads the web services side....

This is a serious issue as it is also affecting in world search functions. This has been a problem for well over a week now and LL appears to be unable or unwilling to remedy it. I wonder how many of the other problems that have occured lately are related to this?
