Taking pictures in Windlight

I posted this a while back in theWindlight forum over a week ago, and got no replies. Trying it here.

I take pictures on a daily basis, and while I'm hardly the greatest, I've had a lot of practice.
Since downloading the latest (now since the last 2 updates) WL viewer, the Mac version, if I use a 512 x 512 size, and Upload a picture, I do not see the same thing in the little previewer as I see on my screen. It's not just a cropping thing due to the difference in size and proportions between my monitor and the snapshot. It is completely off, like there's a huge offset somewhere.
This is so strange, I wonder if anyone has the same problem, if it's a bug, and how to get around it.
TIA!

I noticed this and managed to position it how I intended it to look, but I can't remember exactly how, so I'm just saying it's doable.

If I remember anything at all it's based on 'the center point' the last place you clicked with the cursor on the screen, also try resetting the preview after adjustments.

It's a bug that has been reported. I believe changing the type of snapshot (from saving in-world to saving to HD) triggers this glitch, and you have to close the snapshot UI and re-open it to get it right. There is also a problem where save to disk screws up and has stripes of unrendered content.

I'm seeing the stripes on postcards as well.

I was suspecting it had something to do with screen size, as I've been able to change the image size to get a preview that's closer to what I see on screen.

Do ya happen to have JIRA issue numbers handy?

Thank you everyone :). I'm just starting on a Mac, after many years on PCs, and thought my investment in the iMac might have been a bad idea.

Congrats!

I just upgraded to an iMac 20', so you're not alone :-)

It's not just macs. I have the same thing (upload snapshots in Windlight creates snapshots of bottom left of screen instead of center.) I haven't found any easy fix, except for saving to disk and reuploading.

I haven't noticed the stripes. One thing i noticed about windlight is, that it doesn't like 'high-rez' snapshots though. So if you have that switched on, try to see if turning it off makes any difference.

Same thing here but found it

I had the same thing and once found it was an easy fix. When snapshot windows comes up - near the top "What size image do you need?" - use drop down and select current window - worked like it always did in the past now.
