Is there a way (prolly not for security reasons but i'll ask anyway) to find out the email address a person used when registering to SL by avatar name? There are people i'd like to contact but havn't been seen in SL for quite some time.

There's no way for you to get that info, but IM's will be forwarded to email.

From: Vanessa Sakai There's no way for you to get that info, but IM's will be forwarded to email. Actually, IM's *may* be forwarded to email. Or may not. You can't tell. It's a configurable option, which many people turn off. There is also no way to know if it is trying to forward to a possibly invalid address -- an e-mail account that worked at sign-up time, but is no longer an active e-mail account. Sadly, the only way for you to get contact information on someone who you met in SL is to get it from that person. Linden Lab will not divulge such information, even if you have good reason to think they real person may be in dire straits. People do leave SL, for reasons as mundane as getting bored with it, or their computer going on the fritz - to reasons as dire as the real-life death of the account owner. Unless you have external contact info already, you'll never know why someone vanished from the Grid.

They will if you file suit against the missing person and ask for the info as part of legal proceedings, but that's expensive.

Get in touch with the age-verification company LL uses. They sell the mailing lists.
