Hi all.
I asked at NCI and got no joy, so I'll try my luck here.
Can anyone please explain the operation of the 'Show Look At' option in Advanced/Character?
Blue and pink crossheairs - do they just represent boys/girls or is there any deeper meaning?
How can I tell if someone's looking at my profile?
Is there anything in the SL Wiki that would shed light on this function.

Apart from when they right click and accidently 'add you as friend'. :) In my experience when a friend requests comes from someone you don't know it's becasue they clicked the wrong button when trying to view your profile via right clicking your AV.

...though there is a way to see if anyone followed up on the URL in it.
