I'm not banned, but I wonder.. If you become banned from a SIM, how do you get your stuff back if you have anything in there? Is it even possible, or do you have to wait for someone with the ability to return the stuff to you?

Give your alt or a friend the ability to modify your objects (check the option next to their name in your friends list). Then have them go to the sim and delete all the objects belonging to you. Don't worry, this won't make the stuff disappear forver... the objects will automatically go to your inventory in Trash folder. (Or maybe Lost & Found... I'm not 100% sure... but I *do* know it definitely goes back to your inventory.)

Hi Malina. Sim owner or estate managers can return your stuff. I think, not sure, also friends with modify rights.

If it is a sim with borders just stand on the other side of the border, send your camera in (adjust your draw distance first if needed) and Take back your objects. Front |

Hmm.. Ok.. But if you're banned, doesn't that ban alts too? And SIM owners likely aren't required to return objects, since you willingly placed them in their SIM.
And using your camera assumes that your items are close to the border =p |

Send a notecard to the sim owner. He doesn't want your prims there either.
A ban does not extend to an alt. |

Unless it's useful stuff =x
Mk.. Thanks! Hopefully I'll never get banned, but it's good to know what to do. |

But if you're banned, doesn't that ban alts too? Mains and alts are not tied together in any obvious way, so no...LL may know you have the same email/payment info on both, but there's no way for a sim owner to know. _____________________

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things. Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut. |

Hmm.. Ok.. But if you're banned, doesn't that ban alts too? Oh, how we wish it did! That would stop most Griefers dead in their tracks, if by banning one of their accounts, you could in that single stroke ban any past ot future accounts created by that same individual. Alas, that is impossible, since LL stupidly insists on allowing anyone to create an account with completely ficticious information. There is no linkage whatsoever between an individual's accounts, even if they are 100% honest and use the exact same name, address and payment info when creating each account! _____________________
Sorry, LL won't let me tell you where I sell my textures and where I offer my services as a sim builder. Ask me in-world.

I would be VERY careful about sharing edit rights even with an alt, it's a terribly implemented very inconsistent and buggy functionality and almost always results in work getting lost even under normal circumstances. |

Emm.. if *you* delete your own object it really gets *deleted* but if you gave *me* mod rights on your stuff and *i* deleted your object your object would get *returned* to you, it would *not* be deleted. i have never experienced all this buggy-ness you speak of (perhaps i am very lucky) all my alts have mod rights on each others objects. Only problems i've had are my fault (me building something as one alt, finishing it as another, and then darnit!! building with prim perms set wrong so now i have to go through and change all the next-owner perms.. and... GAH!). but.. anyway.. if someone with mod-rights deletes something of yours.. et gets returned to the original owner. |

It's all good until you empty the trash. Deleting your own object is not unrecoverable until you empty trash.
