Help keep IM emails but dont want Notices

Hey, id like to know if its possible to Keep Group Notices from being sent to email, but Keep IMs going to email, and also keep receiving the group notices but i dont want the to goto email...

Ok, I have just been all over the SL website and through the preferences in SL.

As far as I can tell there is no separate settings. There is just the receive IMs to email one.

Sorry I couldn't find it.

Thanks for posting this question though. I found my old email was listed on the site for my IMs to email options. I wondered why I never got any.

I was so happy when I discovered if you uncheck "Receive group notices" in the group panel? You won't receive group notices in your email!

I know! It's so amazing (you'll still get them when you are inworld).

So you can only turn off the groups that are bad about them.

Now see, that is another unclear Linden feature. I figured if you unchecked that you would not get the notices anymore.

Oh, and here is how you get to it:

Go to groups, choose any group, select the info tab and then uncheck the receive group notices.

That will turn them off on all groups though. It does not work on an individual group basis.

Well it used to be that if you unchecked that option you did not get the notices at all - which is exactly how I would expect it to work anyway. However, somewhere in the releases of the last year they introduced another one of those undocumented "features" and now that option just keeps you from getting the notices when you are not logged in.

Um, why do you say that? I still receive all my other group notices fine. It only stopped my email from receiving group notices for that one group thankfully!
