I noticed that a lot of "for sale" land doesn't appear in the land search (also, the little "$" sign doesn't appear over the land in the overhead map view). I thought this had to do with "Show in search" in the About Land menu, but I was wrong.
If I have my own land to sell, how do I make sure it appears in both the search and has the info in overhead map views?

All you can do is set your land for sale to anyone and it should appear. The little $ sign not appearing is a glitch, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, it won't appear right away.

Hmm I thought it had to be listed in Classified as well, to get the little $ on the map... but I may be wrong!

You don't need to list land for sale in Classifieds to get the dollar sign. All land listed for sale gets the sign eventually. Not sure how often the map updates. All land that is for sale will show up in land search. perhaps you have filters on like price or size or mature/pg.
