I know people hate this kind of thread, but I don't know where else to ask...
Can someone please recommend a place I can get a really nice dress - something chinese in style?
Thankyou!

There are a few shops at Samurai Island that sell dresses that are supposed to be Japanese; but many of them look more Chinese than Japanese. It's a good place to start.

If I remember right, House of Zen has some nice dresses... Maybe even a freebie.

I second House of Zen. You might also try searching 'cheongsam,' both in-world and on SLX and OnRez.

Cartunno couture! Will send you LM. The black qipao I was wearing in the hangout the other day comes from there but there are others too. And a freebie one ...

For some reason, I'm thinking Lucrezia Lamont had some in the Necros sim - near the road. She has a few vendors over there, along with her Newbie Kit (grab one to give to your favorite newcomer!).
...don't ask why I know anything of dresses...

I think I saw at least one at the Relay for Life Clothing Fair in one of the four Rezzable sims. Look in Search > Events > Charity/Support Groups, you should see it listed there. I think it is listed as Clothing Fair, either way a great way to find some new stores to check out.

Is a cheongsam close enough? I have one by Oryx that simply stuns at a mile
