buying lindens

hello my account is nearly 7 days old. I am having trouble buying lindens atm. I can enter the amount and log in. When I click the place by order button I get this message.

**We are unable to complete your request.
• Could not charge account.
• The system encountered an error while processing your order, please try again **

I use paypal and it seems to be ok on their end. any suggestions on what could be the problem?

I guess it's some kind of new LL "enhancment".

Did you go over your limit? New accounts have linden limits set. Or SL is just messing up......which never happens.:|

First of all, always make sure you look through the knowledge base for possible answers.

Furthermore, please ensure that you are not buying more than your current daily limit.

So if your billing age is 7 days old you can either:

a) Credit $250 to your account

b) Buy $100.00 worth of Linden dollars.

I personally would suggest you wait 24 hours before attempting to purchase Linden Dollars.

Also a quick heads up...buy it from the website. If you buy through any other means and you have a high risk attached to you, it may be a failed transaction.

well something that i learnt after fight for one month with LL support is that your age is not considerated by LL since the day that you registered your account and appeared in the orientation island.

Your age is determinated since the moment that you put billing info in your profile and it's accepted by LL.

You may be up against your limits for purchase. Of course the website says you can apply to increase your limits. It takes 30 days for SL to say no and by that time you are pretty much unlimited anyway.

Oh yes and that $L1500 bonus at the end of 45 days.. I am still waiting for mine next week I'll have 60 days in world.

Did you register your account as Premium from the start, or did you begin as a Basic and upgrade? If you did the later, you're not eligible for the bonus. As one of the notes on the membership plan page says, the bonus is for new registrations, not upgrades.

Also, to the OP, if you haven't purchased any L$ until now, you're only allowed 10USD worth to start. Once you make a $L purchase or LL bills you for something like a Premium membership, your limits will gradually start to increase based on this schedule:

Remember though, the totals are cumulative. For example, if you spend 10USD on day 1, you only have 90USD TOTAL left for days 2-7, not the 100USD shown. If you then spend 45USD on day 2 and another 45USD on day 4, you'll have nothing available until day 8. On day 8, you'd have 200USD left for the rest of the month, not 300USD, since you'd already spent 100USD in the first 2 weeks. Hope that makes sense.
