I received an email from a friend this morning, who informed me that her account, along with her husband's account has been suspended. When I went in-world to look up their profile, sure enough they were no longer listed.

Does anyone know if this is a temporary SL glitch, or could it be something deeper? She was on earlier yesterday, purchased land from a reputable estate owner, placed a building on the land, then left for the day. Upon her return to SL, she could not log on with the suspended info displayed.

I have asked her to contact LL but we also know that can mean a long time waiting on the phone, or weeks waiting for a reply via email (although they have gotten better at it from a couple of a months ago). The account has linden dollars init along with a lot of inventory.

Any thoughts or insight?

Did this person pay a lot of lindens out or get a lot of money given to him from various avatars lately? If so he may have triggered an automated account freezing system designed to stop money laundering.

Raymond - to my knowledge they just purchased land.

Cristalle - ty - I kind of figured this may be the best course of action, but who wants to wait hours or weeks for a reply :(

That should not have triggered the auto system...only gifts to other avatars.

The person I knew who had this happen had his account back up and running 48 hours after getting suspended...He is a frequent poster here. Perhaps he will see this and IM you inworld since you do not allow private messages here.
