You convert the Lindens to US$, then LL pays you through PayPal.

You can exchange your L$ into US$ and tansfer them then to your PayPal account via the website of second life.( http://www.secondlife.com )

My Account Page -> Lindex Exchange -> Manage -> Sell L$

You can use either the LindeX or Xstreet SL to convert L$ to USD. Even though LL operates both, the fee systems are different, so one or the other may have a better exchange rate for your purposes. I believe they also have different mechanisms and fees for transferring USD to PayPal.

There may be other reliable sites for doing such conversions, but you need to research them carefully. LL has strong requirements for operating an exchange, and using an unreliable mechanism can easily result in your account being investigated.

Just one thing to add ... the money can be transfered to either PayPal or to your bank account.

Yes, but it sounded like just a general information question rather than something that the OP wants to do.
