What are the four columns of checkboxes on the right of the Friends tab for? I can't find any information about them anywhere.

Not inworld to check, but there should be hovertext with the icons on top of the colums to explain. I think they are (from left to right) "can see my online status" - "can find me on map" - "can edit my objects" - "I can edit their objects".
