Can anyone recommend some "fairy" types of dances - like the kind of flowing movements you would do in a field of flowers. Not flight dances or club dances. I'm looking for solo dances that need a bit of room.

Thanks!

Well, last time I tried out dances at Animazoo, I remember thinking he had several very balletic ones.

But I didn't see any that reminded of old Clairol commercials, so prolly they're not what you're looking for :)

Isablan, Abranimations used to have one called "Tip-Toes" or "Up on Toes," or something like that. It might be what you seek.

I know because I was looking for a dance that didn't make me look dorky, and that was definitely not one for me! Got laughed at in store when I clicked on it. The indignities we guys suffer . . .

"Condore" from Sine Wave and "YOHJI" from Owenimations might be good for you.

I created many of the ballet moves I did in the slow section of my latest video:

but there is one in there that might fit the bill for you that is available commercially inworld, it's AKEYO Nina dance 5

Diera Llanfair's shop has some ballet animations. I didn't try them while I was there, but it may be worth a look.

Thanks, everyone for your suggestions so far. I've not really found what I'm looking for, ballet is too formal and most others have too much "hips" instead of earthy flowing.

Anyone got a motion capture suit they can loan me for a few hours? ;)

Thank you for mentioning me Nic :) I have been very busy recently re-vamping myshop and trying to make it easier for customers to find stuff. The Ballet Studio is now upstairs in the Alcis shop - I've finally moved out of the shed in the garden! I also sell on Xstreet - which is useful for those who like to browse out of world.

I have made over 40 ballet animations and 24 of them are now available in a beautiful HUD system scripted by Sundi Metropolitan. This is also available on Xtreet.

Isablan...at Avilion, there are poseballs set up around a bonfire that looked like what you are searching for,...at least, there were some there last fall....

Yes try the fairy gardens at Avilion. There's one called 'spin' that was pretty good.

Also, 'Dream Dance' is a freebie floating around.

I'd try to go to freebie shops and pick up all the free dances first, and see if any suit you. Other than that, maybe some of the 'doll' dances or animations might work for fairies.

I've cruised through Avilion and found only couples dances.

Dream-dance is an aerial, when I 'm really interested in ground.

C'mon animators (hint, hint)

Nymphs dancing in a meadow!! I can't be the only one who would buy this...

Warning, self advertising. :) My circle dances / solo folk dances sell well for the fantasy/elf/witch/vampire crowd.

There is a fairy AO that might be useful. It replaces Walk with a 'float in the air'. Likewise the Stand poses are all float in the air poses.

To dance, just move around 8-)

I am not in world now but i have a lovely one from Sine called Crane I believe, that has a lot of flow to it. Looks wonderful in a kimono but it might work for fae.

I've got one from SineWaves called "Sprite" and it's just sort of a happy little dance, nothing particularly fey about it, but I could see fairies dancing like that.

Someone at ZeroG Skydancers might be able to help, although they are an aerial dance company.

I also ran across some balletic-type dances when I was doing a play last year. If you'll send me an in-world IM for a reminder, I'll look in my LMs when in log in.

Ilse's Animations has a fairy AO. Also, "Forest Feast", which is a beautiful sim to just explore btw, sells fairy animations (along with lovely fairy wings and clothing) in the store area where you can buy the flowers and things. :)
