Hello Chanty,

It can be a bit confusing, particularily because SL does not follow many of the Mac key conventions.

However, if you use the mouse to click on the menus, most of the functions do have an indication next to them of what keys to use, and those menus are correct.

Finally, if you are trying to use the Function keys, i.e. F1, F2, etc. you may need to press the Fn key along with the function key, as the Mac default nowadays is for the function keys to access the specially-defined things such as brightness, volume, dashboard, etc.

So if you are trying to press Ctrl-F1 then you may need to press Ctrl-Fn-F1.

Good luck, I hope I've been able to help a bit.

The Mac Discussion Forum is a good place to go to get this kind of help.

I use a Mac laptop to access SL, but I do not understand your question about "key ctrl+1". What are you trying to do?
