I have an alt that i want to use for playing a male character in role play. I am also interested in trying out the voice facility. Anyone know if i can change the voice from my own to a male voice, its hardly realistic for a male character to have a female voice, or vice versa of course. I know there is software available for disguising ones voice, can this be used in SL, and if so, anyone give me some info on the best way to do this.

There are several different bits of software available, such as MorphVOX. Female to male is quite difficult to do, because it has to add extra frequencies - however, if it's for role-play (ie, nobody would mind knowing that the real player is a woman), it should be sufficient.

A bottle of whiskey and 3 packs of unfiltered cigs a day. Will get you that man voice in no time.
