Yesterday my AO HUD disappeared from its HUD placement. I detached and reattached and it doesn't show up. I detached and reattached on a different HUD position and it still doesn't show. I can still drop it on the ground and see it/edit it.
I'm not sure what else to do: I've cleared cache, disabled and re-enabled 'Show HUDs' option. Please help!
Thanks~

I'm sorry this happened to you. Try doing this to see if it helps. Sometimes huds are attached but off screen. Even if you place them somewhere else they remember the last place they were. Rez a box. Take it into inventory. Attach it to your hud, say in the center. Now right click on it and select edit. If you have a mouse wheel you will be able to spin it and see the box seem to go forward farther away from you. Also a square line will appear as you do this. Keep going and if you see the hud you are missing, right click on it. Select edit and then use the pointers to drag it where you want it. I hope that helps. EDIT: one more thing. If that doesn't help go to view and select highlight transparencies. Sometimes huds are totally clear on one side and that may be the side facing you. If that is the case edit it and rotate it around where you can see the face.

First try shift-alt-H, that shows and hides the HUD display.
If no joy, your Ao might have wandered off the edge of the screen. Attach any old object to the center HUD position, right-click and edit, then use the mouse wheel to zoom out. Find your AO and drag it back to inside the white box the represents your real screen.
If that's too involved, try resizing your window to make it short and wide, then tall and narrow, and see if it peeks out so you can shuffle it back in.

It may have moved off screen (this has happened to me). Make sure you have attached the HUD. Pick another item you can see in your display; click on it and go into edit mode. Then scroll out with your mouse wheel so more items show on your monitor. Take a look around; you may see your HUD now. Click on it, and drag it in towards the middle of the monitor. Unclick edit mode. edit: I see that Mac has given you excellent advice!
