Shoot, I've been crashed for who knows how damn long!!!!
Just lost f*cking another $250; that brings me up to fricking $600 dollars I've lost in a fricking week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now, my login page just hangs at "logging in" for forever!!!
What the f*ck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There is a major issue causing problems with a number of inworld services, including problems with profiles, teleporting, and maps as well as interfering with logins. Ops is investigating and early indications are that we are being affected by a major networking issue. Please monitor this post for updates.

SL sure is goofy tonight.

First the griefer attack from about 2 hours ago. Gray goo grid attack perhaps. Spheres with white MISSING IMAGE texture periodically switching to a complex object and then back. No particles or sounds though.

Then about 1/2 hour ago, I notice mini-map redness like sims are down but I can still move. Move avatar to neighboring sim and home sim seems to go offline. Eventually log off and try to log back on. Instantly get "something went wrong" type message. Go get a drink, come back, and can log in but it takes a long time (3-4 minutes).

Come back in to neighboring sim; still don't see home sim. Wait. No change. Just to see what happed, I TP home, and it works.

Weirdness.

ETA: I just received an informative in-world blue box dropdown dialog. It said: "Second Life". This helps alot.

Maybe related, maybe not. There was a guy on our home sim Thursday who had a spinning griefing object which spammed with blue boxes a link to a website called DisSENT. They are a group protesting IP theft (it said) by sending links to a version of Copybot. I didn't click the link, I just muted and AR'd the guy and his object and they both disappeared. Then I logged out, and for hours afterward I had my IMs jammed with their other objects spamming me offline messages from across the grid.

Earlier yesterday during the grid problems one of the group posting a link on the SL Blog to a YouTube with a video press release about their grid attacks.

Anyone else hear of the group or been harrassed by their objects? Is it related to tonight's problems?
