Black Squares under avatars feet on my screen

I have this really wierd issue, on my screen i see black squares under every avatar when they walk, including mine,

its not causing any problems it just annoying at times

Computer Specs
AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4000+ 2.10 GHz
2 Gig RAM
ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT
Window XP SP2

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to rid me of this?

Dierk, yup! There are black squares that I thought at first were poor shadowing effects with the newest version of SL. They may be working on making them appear more natural today!

Well if they're bad AV shadows, or a driver issue with them, you can turn them off in preferences (or is it debug settings in the new viewer? not sure).

it could be a problem with the foot shadows.

go to your debug menus - i think its ctrl+alt+D but not sure - then click on edvanced/client -> character -> rendering -> foot shadows.
make sure there isn't a cross next to it.

See if it makes any difference?
