I did a stupid newbie trick. I purchased a 512 and deeded it to my group. Afterwards, in a fit of silliness, I contributed the land to the group. Well, that was goofy. I sold the land back to myself for $L1.  Well, Ive tried to. The sale hasn't gone through as yet. Anyway, this is day two and I get into support chat to figure out what the hold-up is. I tell the help person my story ... and he wants to know where the parcel is. I'm at work. I can't log into SL from here, and I cannot recall the name of the region. It's on the mainland ... somewhere. I ask him, you don't know where the land I purchased is? Nnnnnnope. "Chat us again when you can log in, Ghosty." I shake my head in amazement. I guess live help needs to log in and access a menu from the parcel in SL themselves? And they don't know where land I've purchased actually is?

Those that work on live help I don't think are Lindens and do not have access to our accounts, thank goodness.
You can check what land you own by going into your account pages here and looking in 'My Land', though as sales of land are instant, I would say the puchase didnt' go through?

It shows me as buying the land for $1 inworld ... lemme go look at that. *looks* OK, "My Land" shows one parcel: Ghosty's Secret Cinema Tintafel (72,20  512 However, there is another parcel right next to it that my group owns. Ghosty's Movie Shack Tintafel (56,20 512 Maybe I should go get him again?

Update: Got into chat, told them where the plot was ... and they said try to complete the sale again when I can log in. Just make sure to manually lower my tier contribution before I sell the land to myself. OK! hahahah

Word of advice, absolutely set it to sale to only you. Even a few millaseconds are enough for a bot to swoop in out of nowhere and buy you out and boot you from your land.
